Tea should be sweet!

No! No sugar in tea, it's just wrong. No cow juice either.

Earl Grey for me please.

Coffee, now I sometimes have sugar in that, preferably brown, if I feel I need a bit of perking up.

I gave up sugar in tea almost a quarter of a century ago [in a particularly po-faced phase of my early teens]. Unfortunately I discovered beer not so long afterwards so the benefits to my waistline were short lived.:(

[sighs nostalgically for prospect of the young Rabbie being mistaken for rake like Jarvis Cocker:D ]

I used to be in the SPanglechick camp of hating tea and coffee, but then I started liking tea because it something free to have on my break at work. No sugar for me, thought I better start off on the right foot.

Does anyone else get annoyed with people who say "sweet enough"? It must be one of the most overused phrases in the world. I think no thanks is just fine.

It's the same as:
What do you want to do tonight?
Dunno, I'm easy
Ooo-er
SHutup you twat.

However it comes, really. Some days I like tea and/or coffee with sugar and some days without. The only requirement is that is has milk of some sort in there, but I'm not particularly picky what sort.

I really am that much of a loose cannon. You never know what I'm going to have in my mug next

A rebel without a brew...

You can judge how bad the day is going by the amount of sugar my sister outlaw wants in her coffee.

This wasn't multiple choice  I don't take sugar in tea or coffee. I don't drink normal tea though, the nearest I get is earl grey.

Like Subverplat, I'm not that fussy. In the UK I drink tea compulsively, without sugar. In India the chai comes with sugar, and it forms an essential component of that lovely beverage!

I like lots of sugar in my tea and coffee. The other week I decided to be good and replace the sugar with a low calorie sweetener, not very impressed s'just not the same:( , and it makes a strange fizzing noise when I add it to the liquid:eek: .

I have one milk and two teas in my brew.

Anyone who sullies their tea with sugar is a WRONGUN!

I used to have two sugars in my tea but since I embarked on my epic health kick I stopped. Now it's a splash of skimmed coo-juice.

I like tea strong and not too milky, but if I'm feeling in meed of ebergy I'll bung a couple of sugars in.

If I'm not adding milk, though, then I'll have lemon and honey

I don't like black tea - only drink green, herbal or redbush and wouldn't have sugar in any of those.
However proper mint tea, made in the Arabic fashion, is definitely best made with sugar.
