Tatou

dessiato

4 years and I still cry sometimes
Just seen a new vid from Tatou, they still look good and the music is as dull as ever.

(Do they qualify as music for the purposes of this forum? )

'All the things she said' was great but they sound like The Chipmunks in their cover of 'How soon is now'. I can't even listen to it without laughing.

I wasn't expecting much in the first place, so 3% works out to fall between "that doughnut from Sainsbury's was unexpectedly old" and "oh, no, sorry, this coffee's got milk in it, I didn't want milk".

very disappointed by julia's hair. i loved her hair before, but it's gone all boring suddenly.

song's ok. much better than their eurovision entry. i was genuinely excited when they did eurovision that year - i was convinced they were going to walk it with a stunning piece of pop genius. and they turned in some avant guarde nonsense that totally missed the point of the contest. the turkey song, meanwhile, was magnificent. they definitely deserved to win.

Why was I not told about this?

Only decent thing to do with/to Eurovision, by the sound of it.

TaTu - shit live, completely constructed, pop genius. Not Gonna Get Us is one of those tracks that deserves to be remembered as something magical, a piece that has no explainable redeeming features, no sophistication, skill or finesse yet is somehow so perfectly formed in what it is, so exuberant and life affirming as to be something of true value.

Edit: the new single's piss though.

I can't believe they're back! They were Ok but the whole situation with them bein lesbians and their dodgy manager kinda confused things ;) I haven't heard their version of "How Soon Is Now" I'll have to track it down
