Taking pictures of sunsets

Hold on. Are you the same Minnie that started panicking that the battery wasn't charging properly when you first got the camera and it turned out that the battery just hadn't finished charging. And I downloaded the manual for your camera and told you whether the light needed to be off or on for it to be fully charged?

Come on, stop relying on all this "I'm really not technical" stuff and read the flipping manual! :D :D

Sorry. My mistake. That thread was started by MooMoo -- double M type mix-up.

uh... what the fuck happened to the post that i posted?

i posted something to the effect of, if you take shots for yourself, and youre happy with them then thats all that matters. if you think theyre shit then improve them, but if you like them, then job done.

maybe i forgot to press 'post quick reply'...

Very true. However, I would still like to get the colours right even if the pictures are shit :D

dont you have a sunset mode on your camera?

DOES it have contrast & saturation settings? try turnin them right up to get nice bold colours

puttin the white balance to 'shade' will make your pics a bit warmer

um :D

I have a night mode setting but that seems to make pictures grainier

thats because it tries to give you a shutter speed suitable for handheld photography at night. the only way to do this is to boost the sensitivity of the sensor. thus, the signal to noise ratio decreases (or rather, the noise to signal ratio increases).
