Taking one's own food into 'all day events'

What like the Philly Cheesesteak Hat?

I understand that you can get edible clothes. I will leave this to your imagination. ;)

I really don't see how any organisation can enforce this rule. You cannot eat your own food in a cafe or a pub that serves food. This is fine, I understand that, but a festival is not primarily a food outlet. Also when you go into a cafe they don't search your bag to check for cheese sandwiches and the like.

I think there may be a market for a sandwich box cunningly disguised as a folded up waterproof jacket placed in the bottom of a small rucksack.

its in a park

arrive before festival dig hole place hamper with tasty stuff in cover returf mark with GPS:D
go to festival with trowel and gps sorted:D

can you not swallow your lunch before you go in. then get inside. then poo it out. then eat it again?

that'll show 'em

I thought taking a bag full of drugs was bad enough. Take yer food in and if they say aything tell them to go fuck. Simple as.

I find it hard to believe that licencing would restrict people taking their own food onto site.
Will find out for you if any of the festivals I'm close to have any such restrictions.
imo it'll be lovebox looking to rake as much cash as possible off everyone.

Yes, is is under the GPL.

Anybody can use my arse and alter it in any way that they wish, as long as the same applies to their arse in the future.

We discovered this when we went to Knebworth in 1996. We had loads of booze and food, and had to throw it all away outside. We wondered why there were abandoned bags of food and drink all the way along the approach road. Some people were having picnics outside trying to eat and drink it all before going in.

When we got inside, the queues were horrendous and it was £1 for a small plastic cup of water.

On another board I go on there's a thread right now about an all day festival banning plastic bottles of water onto the site!
There's a point where outright greed become criminal liability.
