what's a birdy pie and how do you make it?

Well for my birds it's our old chip lard mixed with wild seed and nuts. You need to let the lard cool down a bit or only heat it enough to slide out of the chip pan if you're using plastic containers.

I don't like oil for chips, partly coz I wouldn't know what to do with it when it's old, partly coz if it's liquid how do you know when it's hot enough and partly coz liquid can spill. Lard never spills

I use them for storing lego. You can subdivide lego bricks ad nauseam. Don't need your tubs though... maybe you know someone who makes jewellery? Could be good for beads?

I'm always tempted to keep those containers. Although no matter how much I scrub them they always have a faint smell of the curry or Chinese that it contained originally. Ugh!
