Synergy project .... taboo on here?

were it not for the fact that i was busy i was gonna go this friday i was more than intrigued to find out one way or the other. It's so long since i've been to anything that is vaguely trance i felt like finding out. A friend was gonna get me obviously

I wish i'd had a tape recorder the other day when i heard some people involved in this event were discussing stuff , it was hilarious cod-spirtuality

I went to one of their parties ages back. The music rapidly got boring. In their defence though they have opened The Synergy Centre which was their goal.

plans are developing to create a fully fledged well-being zone in partnership with The Happiness Centre...


Furthermore, Synergy seeks to harness cross-cultural approaches in taking inspiration from non-western, non-industrial cultures to reappraise orthodox western concepts of progress and civilisation to embrace post-material and spiritual concerns.

I don't actually mind psy trance in small doses, but Synergy are complete twats. I kind of agree with Hollis about the music but I'm with most about Synergy. I'm still on the spamming twats' mailing list despite repated and futile efforts by me to get them to take me off. Did I mention they were twats?

I went to a party a few weeks back in Kings Cross which had a number of Synergy people there.

I found them to be lovely, the music isn't really my thing but fuck me the drugs were good which more than made up for it.

IMMIC when their spamming head honcho dude posted on here last time he explained that he couldn't include any information on his flyers that was political as it would jeapordise his funding, which was based on doing good work with da kidz.

When I asked him why all the synergy projects initial flyers had been saturated with drug imagery and whether his funders would find that acceptable he went all quiet.

Maybe their community ethos statement should read
"Synergy Project - bringin da drugz to da kidz"

Well, I've just spent some time going through those threads from a few years back.

Makes for some interesting reading.

I was about to write a couple of paragraphs with my thoughts on why some people seem to have / have had an issue with the whole Synergy Project thing.

But thinking about it, it would require rather a lot of paragraphs and I haven't really got the time.

Anyway I reckon I'll be going along to tonight's event with as clear a conscience as I would going to any club night in London...
