Anyone for corn on a cob?

Woman asked for corn on the cob in a city takeaway - and this is what she got

I'm a sweetcorn fiend, but even I would draw the line at that.

Reminds me of ordering a roast veg baguette in a pub - only to receive a pale, barely cooked baguette filled with boiled veg (carrot, cauliflower, etc). A very sad sandwich.

I've made the bacon and sweetcorn chowder. Tis' good (easier with a bag of frozen sweetcorn too).
