I wouldn't be so sure - a friend of mine got a call in the pub from his partner to say she'd gone into labour. To which his response was "have I got time for another pint?"

My Dad didn't make it back from the pub for my birth.... but then I came at a most inconvenient time - 11:55pm on New Year's Eve...

That was definitely a good night. Thanks to all who came. We got a good turnout but the outside was busier than the inside due to the smoking laws.
