Watch out for the ELL closing in December as its about to be switched into the new Dalston - Crystal Palace / West Croydon overground extension. Buses for about 2 years i think.

I'm dreading that, not cos the tube will be closing but because they are building the track right over the field that is next to my estate:eek: ,the field is the best thing about living on this estate, and it provides a handy shortcut to walk to Surrey Quays, we've been told it's all going to closed off to us soon -s' going to be terrible.

((((((((RIP field))))))))):(

Yeah it's shit how they're filling in areas all over the place. There was that lovely brownfield site near the incinerator that would have made an awesome park but is now some crappy thing called the Gemini estate.

Its the breeders

If all these peeps would stop fucking breeding thered be NO NEED to fill every spare inch with houses!!!!

Off with their Bollocks!!!!!! Off, Off, now I say!!!!!!!!!

Is there any truth to the rumour that London Transport renamed the old Surrey Docks Station and, therefore, also the subsequent development in memory of the near homophonous mistress of the unpopular Tory transport minister, Cecil Parkinson.

I'm guessing it was more because there was less sense calling it ' - Docks' once they'd all been filled in, and perhaps because they wanted to rebrand it if the docks were associated with a dead industry and dereliction.

Miles and miles of virtually identical middle class "homes", everybodys fucking white, unless they work in the kitchens of course - see why its popular with the Jaarpie crew. Whooly free of all imaginantion, colour and contrast it is a lasting monument to the greed and utter lack or scuple of the LDDC and the spec builders who flung those vast estates up.
As for Canary Wharf, above ground, constant blustering wind, below a truly termite land of tunnels, swarming bodiess and endless fucking chain stores

The entire area was designed with the flair normally reserved for caravan parks in Southend

Utterly shite and loathesome

Now this does my nut. Why is this a problem, unless everyone stsrts hanging out the st George's Cross and being hostile to others?

I'm a bit fucking sick of this being used as a slur.

Hi all,
Hoping you could give me some advice/pointers/tips.
I recently saw a 1 bed flat in surrey quays-concorde way. the flat was really nice, however the walk to it was not impressive at all.
I'm a single woman living on my own and would be great og et your views on how is it to live in this area. Safety is my Priority.
Is this are safe. whats around here. Is is a nice area to live in?
Any hits and pointers from anyone would really be helpful
Thanks
