    Hi All

Looking at away fixtures we have Margate (Jan 13), Lowestoft (Feb 10) and Brightlingsea (Mar 10). Will be hopinģ to run coaches to these games weather permitting.
We have Billericay away on 30th Dec and there seems to be engineering work on the line with buses replacing trains between Newbury Park and Billericay. At present checking cost and availability for running a coach on this day!

Me and Fi would be up for a place on the Billericay coach if you are running one. Cheers, Ev

Just for information the best public transport option for this fixture is train to Basildon from Fenchurch St via West Ham and Barking, then bus 100 frequent service from bus station opposite to Billericay High St. Did that a couple seasons ago and wasn't too painful. Definitely avoid replacement bus service from Newbury Park.

Did the 100 bus too. Felt like a teenager in comparison to my fellow passengers. Loved it.

The coach to Billericay on 30th December is arranged.
It will be departing Champion Hill at 11am with a cost of £14 adults and £8 concessions.
You can book a seat on this thread, at the 12th man stand on home matchday, on the 12th man twitter account or contact me direct on 07931276118.

Don't agree! Have done Newbury Park replacement to Billericay replacement before. It's every 20 minutes, 45 minute journey and direct (one stop at Shenfield). It's also "free", so just Oyster card to Newbury Park (overground/touch purple reader/Jubilee/central line) for less than £2.

I'll be doing that (unless I'm in a car) ............ it's a 2 hour round trip to pick up the coach for me or 20 mins to Newbury Park

I can't get to Billericay as I'm working, but always use it if I'm not, even if the journey might be easier by other means. Plus, of course, I could travel on the team coach as a Club Official, but choose the 'Dooley Bus' as a means of supporting it.
Personally speaking, whilst I realise it's not obligatory or anything like that, and lots of fans have different ways of enjoying our awaydays, I find it a pity really, that a number of fans only choose to support when engineering works make it such an awkward trip, and wouldn't dream of using it at other times.

That's true, but 'two wrongs don't make a right'...and the person concerned isn't on your Board anymore, so no longer has his, ahem, 'Fingers' in your pie so to speak! ;)

But, if ever we were to play Macclesfield again I must say I would support the coach, so would in all probability go down that route.

Hopefully not the route that included the detour along the Oxford Ring Road!

Should have been on the one to the Bognor playoff via Swanley including a diversion to Grove Park to get back on the South Circular at Catford. Then took a wrong turn on the A23 ending up heading back to London then missed a turning and nearly ended up in Chichester.

    I jibbed the train home.
