Support the postal workers (via Sky poll!)

If this is true:

BBC business editor Robert Peston said the "big pillars" of management demands were in place, including pension fund reform, a pay rise this year of around 2.5 per cent and the reform of working practices.

Then i don't think this is over - not by a long shot. It looks like the FBU deal all over again, that eventualy did for Gilschrist and turned the union into an infighting paper tiger.

Tbh, the issues that caused the last strike (not this one) were resolved piecemeal. RM has allowed the discontent to simmer away for the last two (?) years. I noticed that there was no one from the union being interviewed by the BBC; it was all management, management, management.

Where is it factually wrong?
That's what the BBC should be asking !

Just repeating what the management/government/police say, without challenging it, is bad journalism.

All of which amounts to post office workers being contracted to do a certain amount of work, and then being paid more when they are required to do extra work.

Fair enough only if they were paid on a piece rate rather than for a set number of hours.

WHy dont you say the same thing about Nino_savettes comment about people like me being put against the wall and shot.

Actually I'm fed up with you socialist, unionist people who live in cloud cuckoo land. Move to france, enjoy the cheese, high unemployment and go on strike every other week.

And can you delete my account while you're at it.

I am thinking of moving to France btw. At least there they respect cyclists and unions are more militant than they are here.

That's getting fucking tedious and is verging on the offensive if you mean it in all seriousness. Got a problem with the French or just showing off?
He's got a problem with anybody who has the balls to stand up for themselves. It makes him feel insecure :(
