Basically all you're doing is putting a piece of wood into the whole to compensate for the wood that's been worn away. So whatevr size is needed to do that and still let the screw turn and get a pit of purchase. Whacking a bit of glue in then leaving it would possibly help too

What bit of the neck is it, A Suplex?

The bit where it joins the body. Three screws two at the top and one at the bottom, standard Fender i'm guessing. The two at the top are the ones wih the bad thread so the neck bends forward ever so slightly.

no, that's not good, eh? Needs to be rock solid

You might wanna think about filling the hole with something filler-like before re-drilling a hole for the screw?

Problem being, if the screws have been pulled loose, and assuming that they were sound to begin with, nothing you can do is going to stop this happening again.

Superglue is the wrong sort of glue for the purpose - it's designed to operate at molecule thin-ness.

What you need is longer / fatter screws.
NO.

Simply use normal white wood glue (PVA) to glue slivers of matchwood in the tortured screwholes - evenly all round.

When the PVA's set, then screw the original screws back into their new snug housings.

Sounds difficult. I might try wood gule and matches. I am a bit warey though because it's a pretty rare guitar (and older than I am).
