I'd say there's absolutely no point watching a film like Sunshine on a crappy home system.ChrisFilter said:I thought it looked like bog-standard sc-fi.. maybe download it, certainly not cinema-worthy. But then I don't like Cillian Murphy.
That's a really well written review and just about on the money too.RenegadeDog said:
Why would you want to talk about the ending of a film you haven't seen?! Isn't that a bit like reading the last chapter of a book you fancy reading later?Orang Utan said:I wouldn't mind starting a spoiler thread so we can talk about the ending - would people contribute to it though?
Ah, OK: sorry! Oops (reads back through the thread and sees it in black and white)Orang Utan said:I've seen it and would like to talk about the ending but don't want to spoil it for others who may click on this thread, so was thinking it would be best to start a new thread with a spoiler alert
Boyle not Doyle!firky said:sci-fi with religious overtones done by hit and miss master Danny Doyle.... i'll wait for the DVD. I like the looks of this but he's no Stanisław Lem so like 28 days later when the plot gets difficult the film will fall to bits..... that's my prediction. His films always have a habit of being good for at least 2/3rds of the way through then just falling out or tossing in ideas that should have been introduced or developed earilier on,
I'd say again that this film really needs the big screen to do it justice.firky said:sci-fi with religious overtones done by hit and miss master Danny Doyle.... i'll wait for the DVD.

Feel free to start a new thread and add ALERT! SPOILER! WARNING! if you like.

I'm with you there though - he has flashes of brilliance but never quite delivers

Incidentally, I can't believe there's a 28 Months Later coming out this year. Boyle's stayed away but a Spanish fella who directed the rather good Intacto is at the helm.
