Sunrise celebration 2008

if Waveform and Sunrise are on my mates will be running one of the tents i think so will know more when i see him on Saturday (they did the Breaks tent at Waveform last year - we had a cracking open decks session on the Sunday)

Also, i can't help but chuckle at that C&P by William. Loving the hippies hiding the fact they've pulled one of the oldest tricks in the books by winding up one company to avoid paying it's debts and starting another with it's assets. and hiding behind a load of PLUR :D

Waveform appears to be off for 2008

I say 'appears' -- that story is about it definitely not being on again at Powderham Castle specifically (near Exeter).

The Sunrise Celebration site (link earlier in this thread) says nothing up to date about Waveform.

Doesn't look at all promising for it, I certainly wouldn't plan/rely on it happening in 2008, but I guess it's possible the Sunrise people, who organise Waveform, just might find another site for the event.

Will make further enquiries off my Exeter contact when I can ... in too much of a rush now though, and through the weekend!

There were a couple of rumours of Sunrise moving to the Waveform site, but I guess this totaly rules this out.

Powderham Catsle was a lovely site but the music in some of the tents did go on way past the licensing hours!

I did repost that stuff with minimal comment ;)

We will be going in 2008, but certain aspects do seem a tad shakey, agreed ...

Ok has anyone got any recent news about this. Mates and I want to buy tickets but we're a bit concerned the company may go belly up and we will lose our cash. However I guess if everyone thinks this they won't sell any tickets and will certainly go bust. Catch 22 anyone?

Well the website has now been fully updated for 2008 & they've announced The Orb as Saturday night headliners. But I'm holding off buying my ticket for a while yet on the basis that it's unlikely to sell out. Also hoping to blag a press pass.

I love this one, do you think he chose the synth for its musical qualities, or its name, maaaaaaan :D

Is that hippy wearing a fucking skirt?

Good luck! :)

We await our already-ordered tickets, and will definitely be there. In reasonably normal clothes ... :p

Aspects of it are as hippy as fuck, and leylineologists and zodiac wibblers are to be laughed at, for sure,
For someone who goes to a lot of festivals you have quite a bizarre opinion of the majority of people who put them on.
I'm genuinely confused by this. If you take the hippies out of the equation you're left with bands and beer, in which case you might as well have gone to a gig surely.

yeah but all them things are potential distractions from the ultimate task of drinking cider at the urban meet up spot;)
