I do hope there's a bottle of wine under that duvet ;)
I'm on the gin from under the sink:D ;)
Fucking covered in scratches-was so impressed with my inventive way of trying to fix the trellis-the worst thing was a neighbour happening to look over the wall to see me ripping the gusset of a pair of fishnets with my teeth:o
She didn't stay long enough for me to explain that I was trying to rip them to tie back Triffid like vegetation

Takes me back to when I was young, free and for a brief time, the only lesbian avenger in a tu-tu :D

Hope there are going to be photos when they flower :)
One of mine has been nibbled a little bit my a slug or snail - obviously didn't like the taste of it though :D

Do you think certain slugs and snails must have different tastes? My old work garden was full of snails, sunflowers, and herbs but never used a single pesticide:confused:

would you like me to put a ruler next to them, just so you know I'm not playing with the camera angle or something :p

Had a bit of a sunflower disaster yesterday, tried to replace rubbish temporary wool that was attaching the plants to my knitting needles  and two of them ended up bending and snapping in half. The leaves on some of the others have gone a funny yellow colour. What am I doing wrong other than using rubbish temporary canes? Can I save the sunflowers?

If the leaves have chlorosis, then you've probably got a nutrient deficiecy. Feed them or pot them up.

I've got loads of self set sunflowers which are from a giant from last year so i've got 'high' hopes for this year. :)

I've got 4 that are about 1ft on my balcony, but the rest have been destroyed by snails :(

I don't know how the little buggers get up here. Must take them ages...

Only remembered to sow mine on Sunday, will be a poor show this year what with scaffolding in the garden too :-(

over a metre now

Show off :p

I have pretty much given up. I have one survivng plant which has been blown out of it's pot, spent at least 2 nights in near freezing torrential rain and been munched a bit.
I don't hold out much hope tbh :D

I'm pleased to report that mine are coming on nicely

Considering I have to protect them constantly from footballs, the dog and homemade bombs

:p
