Ibiza's full of kids in baseball caps vomiting over each other.

In Italy, we had the beach, an 11K sound system, and practically no scummy tourists at all.

I know but if you go to the right places it can be top :(

Will see when it is and the location etc. unless I find a million in the meantime ;)

Did you all sleep in tents??

I dont fancy camping in that heat :o

No we had incredibly posh chalets with everything you could wish for (even airconditioning in some of them).

We had a lovely chalet and even cooked our own meals. It was all surprisingly civilised!

And the parmesan cheese and wine were ridiculously cheap.

I'll think about it if it's somewhere new and manages to avoid Ashton Court, Beautiful Days and fucthest8's birthday bash :)

Dunno when fuct's do is, but the other weekends-to-avoid sound like ones I want Unsound to avoid too .... plus if this Italy beach lark happens LATER than Strawberry Fair weekend (very first weekend of June -- Saturday 3rd June this year) avoiding that'll be a big bonus ... :)

The thing is, William, you can please yourself when you go and come back, lots of people did this - some coming out for long weekends and some midweek. So you needn't miss out on anything. You could just fly out on the Monday after Strawberry Fair (if its around that date), Stanstead is handily close to Cambridge.

Nah, just EastEnder and other male urbanites :( ;)
I think you'll find there were plenty of wet behind the ears, teeny bopper type boys to keep the likes of zenie happy.

ChrisFilter springs to mind.

Put it this way - it won't bankrupt you like Ibiza would. The accomodation was really good value. We paid £13 per person per night and the flight cost fuck all (about £40 the first time we went). Add to that no moody bouncers, a visit from one lone cop in two weeks, £2 for a beer at the bar, £1 for a litre of wine in the campsite shop, £3 for a large pizza, music 24/7, open decks all day (bring your own vinyl /c.d.s).

I've been to Ibiza lots of times but I don't think I could bring myself to pay £10 for a drink any more. The Unsound holiday was the first time I've been to a tourist destination and not felt ripped off

Gah I love the heat
During the day, it reached a max of around 26 degrees & the afternoon wind tended to cool things down a bit. Also on some nights the temps dropped dramatically & a few of us were caught out with not packing suitable clothes. But don't let that put you off! Besides, as the next beach party will be held in a different location, the weather conditions could differ there... :)

Oh the more I think about it, the more I want to go!
