Though I have to say I got two puppies and gave them complimentary names, when one died six months later the ache of the loss was amplified by knowing that there was a "pepper" to "salt" that was missing. Sounds odd but something to keep in mind. Cats and dogs havbe personalities and let their personalities chose their names. My dougal is a oddly a dougal, but my Toby is totally a a Toby.
