Hey, I'm interested in all types music that's kind of anti establishment, subversive and talks about social issues. The obvious group is Rage Against The Machine. But lots of newer artists from The US and UK have put their message out.

Could be any genre or style. Be interesting to see peoples posts ;)

You want the socialist reggae thread and the political pop thread.

RATM must be the 'bringing the system down from within' types, then?

If RATM are subversive, then so are System of a Down. That is to say that neither is that subversive.

xslavearcx time for a nu-metal revival?

hated rage against the machine but loved zach dela rochas earlier band inside out. straight edge hardcore at its best.

think ratm had a lot to do with the development of nu-metal so thats a pretty appalling record..

system of a down might be the only exception to the rule that nu-metal = shit

There's a thread on here about them that I've been watching bob up and down for a year now and I only started listening to them a fortnight ago. They're proper class. I have to force myself to listen to other stuff so I don't burn them out.
