Stumbleworthy Sunday 27th May '07

Pretty sure that was excellent. Still feeling just a touch rough though.

...ho, ho I heard you were playing cards with beermats off the table at one point. I'm pretty sure you had a good day!!

Eeeh! That WAS ace indeed! Just how a sunday session should be I reckon.

Good crowd, lovely pub with ded friednly staff, good tunes, good to catch up with PieEye and Dub for the first time in ages, got to meet Onket (who I can confirm was playing shithead with both playing cards AND a guiness place mat - if it makes him happy, why the hell not!) and Dj Tab, had a bit of a wind with Zenie, lots of Red Stripe and some tip top MC'ing from Ishu  It was all good in the hood.

Good work Stumbleworthy massif! Who was that fella playing dnb towards the end. Been nuff long time since I had a wiggle to some dnb.

More please!

....will find out about DnB Dj towards end, I did shake his hand, and say thankyou but that's all I remembers' like!!

Could I ask anyone who took any suitable photos to pm me, perhaps they could send me a cd-r so we can put a gallery selection up on the site...? For once I didn't take several hundred photos....

As to the next one we are most definitely on the case!

Sorry I wasn't able to make it down in the end... Sunday was a bit of a write-off for me :(

But there will be a next time

You were missed, you were asked for by many....

Glad to hear Saturday night was a goodun' for you, and that you'll be coming along next time...

food was lush - that chickpea curry and rice and peas were so good. I've never had Caribbean food before - I like it :)

Had a good time in spite of losing 7 games of draughts in a row and one game of chess

I wish, I wish, I wish I'd been able to consume food.

Enough of the Onket bashing! Just because a man wants to be a bit left-field and be a bit alternative in his approach to playing cards, everyone's suddenly a critic!

Tssh! And besides, you were holding a beermat in your hand along with your more traditional cards, because you "liked the feel of it" I remember....:D

I'm actually quite impressed with that answer, if indeed I did say it!

Yep that was a top notch Sunday afternoon.

In fact any afternoon where I can get most of a pub to dance and/or sing to 'Lilly the Pink' is ok by me :D

We must do it again :)

I really enjoyed it so thanks to everyone involved. Friendly pub and a good variety of music. Getting home on Monday morning was a bit of a mission....

Glad that y'all had a good time. We spent the avvo down v.wet Viccie Park, having a Limbic System reunion, on our lonesome mainly.....see you at the next one i hope :)

Limbic reunion? I did not know of this! Let me know in advance if you can and I'll be there :)

Bit of a last minute jobbie really as D in the park with T and Eco Arcadia - sounds like the pub was the better bet this time around tbh, wished i could have made it dahn sarf, especially if Mystery Guest was slinging his key-shaped earrings about like a big hairy fella :D

I don't remember you doing it.....given the circumstances, I'm not sure how much can be believed by that

How many games did I win btw?? :p

Will do me utmost geeza, you knows that (specially if there's any hint of a slot can be found sometime soon for a vaguely unemployed dj, nahwotimean ;) )

Sounds like you had a ball from all this here, like said earlier on, compared to our damp and lonely adventures on Sunday avvo. :)
