Can't quite catch what the manager's trying to offer in the second-last video at that forum (cos he's getting heckled ) - some sort of few hundred yuan figure gets mentioned, then the younger lad who takes the megaphone rejects it speaking for the workers (going by the cheers) and I catch him saying 'we want fair and open negotiations' to a big cheer. Then the chants of 'fuck off' start.
There's some good cheeky banter from the women workers in one of the earlier videos - hear a lass say to a scab words to the effect, 'You'd be quite good looking if you weren't a bosses' lackey.'
Up on YouTube somewhere; it's an hour long of village meetings in Cantonese and the Chinese subs stopped halfway so missed a bit. Will have a search and edit this to post it with a time-stamp if I can. ETA: Here's the vid, can't skip to different point using the proxy I have for some reason, reckon it's somewhere 20-odd minutes in but not sure TBH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UcLpv6plFs&feature=related
That other one I mentioned with the moaning district Party secretary also has the classic line 'do you think it doesn't cost us money to get all these People's Armed Police in?' which has been making the piss-take rounds on line.
I know this is a very serious thing, but when they've been in 'dialogue' with the local authorities, I wonder if someone started playing the Imperial March.
