Hmm, if that 3 month claim is true, then the 'very long and arduous process' talked about seems to be a load of guff.
 
As to Kevin Ogilvy's "attitude", in August 2006, he was deemed worthy of being awarded a long service medal (report).
If it's anything like the police one, you get it automatically on length of service and means absolutely fuck all in terms of competence.
