so that we didn't disturb shoppers. basically, they insisted on a silent samba parade. i mean how bloody ridiculous can you get in the name of health and safety lol.

I didn't think the Police presence on site was TOO bad last year.

i'm not in the band any more but i work with one of them so i'll ask him. 
and buy your train tickets before boarding the train as there are now ticket barriers at cambridge stationIt was the British Transport Police presence at the station that really got peoples' backs up last time. Be warned if you travel there by train on Saturday, and pack yer daybag sensibly ....

It's not, it's cos my dancing buddies are all cramming for their exams and it puts them off.
(If the fair was on a couple of weeks later they'd have got away with it.)
