Hi foo.
Ta muchly for the info, I think we may have to give Friday's Dubzone party a miss I fear
as festivaldeb ain't too keen on staying out too late on Friday. It's a matter of maximising energy for Saturday sorta thing, as much as anything else.
But we'll be in Cambridge from late pm/early evening Friday and I'm sure we'll be visiting a pub at some point! (surely not etc etc etc
). Will PM you.
Briefly/accidentally bumped into Stig and then rich! yesterday (I was visiting my parents in London for the day, then headed for that quality pub called the Wenlock later on before my train back here
).
They is coming up for sure, and will be around both Friday and Saturday I think.
Eva Luna is also upferrit, so there'll be a nice little Urban crowd .....

So far Metcheck showing very light rain only for Saturday so we may get away with it, but this could very easily change.
Those temperatures are comically low though as is Metcheck's usual summertime wont. Expect 16C or 17C to be more realistic.
Wrap up warm on Saturday and come prepared.

I wish them well, and it's fantastic that they're putting on a proper free festival against all the odds, but all the fun has been squeezed out of this for me.
That a real shame editor, but I completely understand -- a fair few others I know about are saying similar
I'm 100% with yiou about the totally unnecessary heavyhandedness of the British Transport Police at the station
They BTP are completely unaccountable, and answer to no-one but themselves, worse than most other forces in that respect
For those who are still going, the actual Fair should be OK though -- Cambridgeshire Police tend to keep a generally low profile at the site itself.

Leave it til the last minute I suggest, check Friday morning's updates before deciding for definite?
Would you come if the prospect of rain receded but it was more likely to be dry/almost dry? Even if chilly?
The general worth of my festival forecast service on here is proved from the above exchange
11.5 mm is rubbish for sure, but Metcheck do have a frequent record IME of modifying/downgrading rainfall totals the nearer to the time you get. Let's hope the same happens this time ... looks like we'll be fingers crossed for a repeat of last year's close escape ...

all the tents are up and vans and people wandering about. i helped a charming dreadlocked chap with tying stalks of wheat (corn?) along a bit of string earlier...i think that's our Greenfields bit.

I had a rather nasty 'mechanical failure' on my bicycle on the way too this. Bit of a bummer thats two festivals in two weeks Ive missed. All the worse as a mate was DJing at an after party.
