Stranger in a Strange Land By Robert A. Heinlein

Bit long winded tbh (but a couple of decades sive I've read it).
Personally I'd go for "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress"
Yup, that's his best work.

Heinlein's not so much fascist as he is a misogynist Ayn Rand.

I have a friend that always bristles and mutters misogynist when Heilein's name is in conversation. I've read a few of his books - and like many loved them when I was in my teens, and recently reread some of them kinda to see whether this misogyny thing was the case (still don't think so) and just becaused I enjoyed the sort of pulp writing he did. Does that also make me a woman-hater? Hope not, as I'm a lesbian :)
Moon is a harsh mistress is my fave too, but SIASL is good too :)
I heard somewhere he used to be involved with nasa after WWII - maybe thats where he got his inspiration for starship troopers? Or am I way out with my dates of when he wrote it?
Anyone read 'the cat who walked through walls'?
