anyway, i will happilly state that whilst the sentence construction was quite reasonable and comprehensible, the actual statement within that sentence was incorrect.
so you admit you were wrong.
you are way more pedantic than butchers, apologies for inferring otherwise :)
thank you.

Respec's "wide-ranging support"

Respec's election victory gets quite a lot of coverage in this week's East London Advertiser. Here's my favourite bit (with emphasis added):
A spokesman for Respect claimed that their support was wide-ranging and that several white East Enders said they would vote for Respect - not just Asians.

Respect to stand in Millwall byelection

On 9th September there is another byelection in East London, this time in Millwall in the Isle of Dogs, in the same seat that the fascist BNP once held.

Respect are standing Paul McGarr, a local campaigner (who also writes very well for Socialist Worker ;) ) - but the question is, can Respect win here as well?

Is he still a full time journalist?

I once remember him coming to speak at an LSE SWSS meeting. We got 8 people to the meeting (v embarrassing). He was very very nice about it though.

I don't know if he's a good candidate. He's local, or was, so that's good.
