Stonehenge created in 1900?

I was unaware that this was a classroom. It is not, afaik, a workplace of any kind. It is, to me, more of a room in a pub.

And in such places I abuse people often. Especially when they say something very daft. Most people in there do the same thing.

But anyway, enough about you.

Oooo i'd love to see you call a 7ft docker with proper muscles 'fucking thick' pleeeeeeeease can i be there next time you do :)

So you'd find it ok for teachers to say something like that to students would you?

Errm I'm not describing anyone as 'poor defenseless women' that was you, in that post, just :) And yes, you don't know anything about people you're abusing and you clearly don't care. That wasn't free speech it was abuse. You'd say that to people you met in real life would you? Or is it just from behind the safety of your screen?

So are you attracted to Moon or is this act of chivalry extended to all female posters here.

Perhapsthis thread should have been put on General Forum, Politics forum has a tendency of being robust.

particularly towards a woman

Yes, because women are fragile and need protecting from the nasty Belboid. At least he's an equal opportunities abuser.

Anyway...my big question about Stonehenge is 'What's the big fucking deal?' Utterly dissappointing in real life, much better as portrayed in moody photos. Only the Pyramids rivalled Stonehenge in 'Oh' factor for childhood image vs. reality

about 200 million pounds to get within 50 yards of it, and 63 pound 48 pence for a fucking sarnie, and you're not even allowed to take your dogs with you

hehe, so many monoliths are kinda disappointing if you just jump out of a car and amble two hundred yards. I really do think you have to walk a bit before seeing them, cos then you see them from miles away, becoming more and more important, and you do get at least some idea of how it must have been to drag the fucking things that far.

And, with Stonehenge, its only really a couple of times a year that you really get to see that the alignments DO work, which is pretty fucking amazing.

Otherwise they're just some big old rocks stuck next to a noisy road.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the whole awesomeness of the civil engineering and logistics side of it; I just found the end result a bit 'meh'...then again the same applies to the Pyramids of Giza...I'm hard to please when it comes to ancient structures...

not at all, I'm almost agreeing with you. I think one needs to be forced to find a way to think about/recognise the engineeerng and logistics before being allowed to see the things.

Nah it's just that ... you know ... men have sort of had a history of abusing women. I know anything verging on conspiracy theory is fair game on urban, i just don't really like it and thought i'd comment. No big deal :)

that was the other one i was explicitly thinking of. One of my very favourite walks over High Rigg & Low Rigg, it really gives you an inkling of just how bloody difficult it must have been to move the stones (which didnt even go that far in Castleriggs case)

Hah, you pair of dupes. Everyone knows Castlerigg was put up by a load of YTS trainees as a make-work scheme in 1986.

That doesnt alter the point that the poor bastard 16 year olds were made to drag the bloody things fifteen miles from the Langdales.

Which meant they had to get out of bed - in the morning!!

agree walking from the East into Avebury from the down and having a well earned pint is fantastic. Having a pub inside the circle is a plus
