Paignton Park is a nice little secret green space with a friendly playground in that area. Technically it's Hackney, I guess....

Paignton Park is actually in the borough of Haringey.

Amhurst Park is Hackney, but the next road north, Vartry Road, is Haringey, and the borough boundary is where AP and VR back gardens meet.

I think there's an Albert Road somewhere nearby, so maybe that's where the unofficial name comes from.

I missed this before (I wasn't living in Hackney in 2004). Maybe I need to follow Pickman's model's lead and be more aspirational than just merging two threads.

I think that boat may have sailed... mind you, be careful what you wish for - the Brixton forum is a load of bollocks now, whereas our humble Hackney threads are still top quality. (imho like...)

Yes, this is true. We generally just have a bit of gentle chit-chat, no aggro -- it's quite nice tbh.
