He can do laid back as well, he's a lot more languid when presenting Sky Sports Extra's Champions League coverage. His shouty style on Saturday afternoons is perfect for giving life to a show which describes a lot of things happening, but can't actually show anything happening!!

I think he could be perfect for Countdown, being Northern filming it at Yorkshire TV won't be as much as a problem as it was for Des O'Connor and Lynam, he has a sharp but slightly naff sense of humour and being in his early fifties could end up presenting it for decades a la Whiteley

Embarrassingly I watched Argumental on Dave. He's an appalling presenter.
