To be fair the weather does seem very damp at the moment, condensation on everything.

Generally speaking the reason behind this is baceause there are a lot of very badly designed homes in the uk... People started using insulation and double glazing but completely forgot that fully insulating a house allows absolutely no movement for condensation unless you put vents in. It's really shoddy design pratice and can lead to damp problems etc.
