It's weirdly nice not to use stationery any more - I type all my notes from meetings or whatever directly in and don't need to cart notepads around. I find it slightly odd to see people with notepads nowadays - like working with luddites who don't understand IT.

I find writing something cements it in my head.

I use a B5 size notebook for making notes, largely did this when I began my job, rarely use it now. I bought one myself as work only had reporters pads and I am not a fan of them

I have more stationery and art supplies than I can shake a stick it, and have not sullied my personal stash with any inferior products of work stationery for some years now.

Post it’s and hole punches. The pens were so crap that not only did I not steal them I bought my own.

Most of my screwdrivers , wire cutters and the like * come from when I was an engineer for British Telecom. I haven’t t been an engineer for British Telecom since February 1992….

My grandad worked for the old CEGB. He retired at 63 and lived till his early 80s; he never paid for a lightbulb in his life.
