....and eating off other people's plates.

Do you do it? Does it annoy you when people do it to you?

Multiple choice poll on the way, hang on a mo....

no, I don't hunch over my plate like a starving man growling and fork-stabbing at any who come near. I'm never that sodding hungry

ha! Great thread!

I cant get away with it. Mr Mel is too territorial over food. Id get my fingers bitten off.

I can with family though.

Get the fuck off the lot of you!

Worst. Behaviour. Ever.

If you want chips, get chips. Don't fucking nick mine and then act all virtuous for not having chips.

I do sometimes ask to nick one if I'm absolutely desperate. But I would never, ever, partake in the strategy employed by some people, usually of the fairer sex, who say they don't want their own portion of them when offered and then nick everyone else's.

I'm sure my habit of automatically offering chips to anybody who happens to be nearby when I have them comes from long years of people nicking them anyway. I don't do it with any other food.

I steal chips at home, without pity. I don't steal chips when eating out.

I order my own chips when out. If anyone else tries to steal them I might be furiously angry but would allow it through common courtesy (unless it was my husband, then I would stab his hand with my fork).

Not really that bothered but voted with the 'shag off' option.

Wife and I often order one burger and chips to share which is cool.

Saturday night, some hoxton freak asked if he could nick a chip when I was stuffing my face waiting for the nightbus chariot in Old Street.

He wasnt even a fittie! Get the fuck out of here!

thing is, I shared cos I have not so long ago...at the particular bus stop late at night asked a stanger for a chip myself. :o One good turn deserves another. I also made sure to tell the guy sat night the tale and to return the favour the next time he has chips at that bus stop. He also gave me a ciggie. :D
