Hairdryers give me split ends as my hair's very fine and can't handle heat.

Maybe I should buy myself one from my b/f as a Christmas present

I find them all much the same really. I tend to use a travel dryer though, as they aren't as big and heavy. Get at least 1800w.

Why 1800w? Would prefer small anyway as I can't carry heavy stuff due to damage from too much typing

Cheers Geri. At least it gives me an idea of weight and power although I'll probably try and avoid that particular one. Don't fancy the image of Nicky Clarke every time I use it

I think it may have been me. I was really prone to static electricity but it's really improved since I started using an ionic hairdryer. I do get the occasional shock still, especially in Debenhams or from the filing cabinets at work!

Debenhams! That's the only place I've ever really got shocks too! The one in South Street, Worthing!

Is it the combination of carpet and old skool brass bannister rails?
