Static!

Hairdryers give me split ends as my hair's very fine and can't handle heat.

Maybe I should buy myself one from my b/f as a Christmas present ;)

Any recommendations?

I find them all much the same really. I tend to use a travel dryer though, as they aren't as big and heavy. Get at least 1800w.

Why 1800w? Would prefer small anyway as I can't carry heavy stuff due to damage from too much typing

I think it may have been me. I was really prone to static electricity but it's really improved since I started using an ionic hairdryer. I do get the occasional shock still, especially in Debenhams or from the filing cabinets at work! :D

Debenhams! That's the only place I've ever really got shocks too! The one in South Street, Worthing! :D

Is it the combination of carpet and old skool brass bannister rails?

I'll endorse the bowl of water by radiator suggestion.

The South Bank has metal handrails and dangerous carpet.

I dunno, I get it from the doors when I am leaving.
