a) show them solidairty and try to encourage their struggle to take on a class perspective or

b) tell them they're being silly for not seeing that the 'essential' division in society is class and why are they wasting their time fighting on such diversions?

Because certainly in the case of the Middle East discussion elsewhere it sounds like you take the second approach above. Much like the SP and the Militant before it. An approach that in that Marxism faq you publicise would be known as economism no?
