I have just found out that the Tarkovsky version of Solaris is on in a bit, so I am going to watch that instead.

Assuming that's the Rooskie version (Tarkovsky!) I tried several times, but it sent me to sleep on each occassion
I remember seven days being ok when it was on originally but they repeated a few recently but they were the kind of sci-fi full of plot holes, characters were all one dimensional, bad acting and looked like it was made on the cheap. Excellent but no star trek. I hoped they would start at the beginning again alas no.

It started at 12.45, and finished at 4am.

They could have gone through all the series in some kind of chronological order. DS9, then when that finishes, Voyager, then when that finishes, start all over again, because Enterprise was fucking shite.

I'm guessung the Beeb only has the rights to TNG. DS9 has been on Virgin1 for a bit now and Voyager... ah well, it's Voyager, who really cares about Voyager. 
The time machine that also had a finite amount of fuel and they still have only one despite 20 a year showing up from the future.
