St Pauli FC

The original question seemed as if you were interested in the football team and I thought I might go out of my way to help. Your further responses seem to indicate that you are not interested in supporting the team at all. :(

I already have a team to support and as far as football goes i am monogomous. I would never claim to support St Pauli, cos i think anyone who claims to support a team they do not watch in the flesh on a regular basis is not a real supporter.

However, i am genuinely interested in St Pauli, mainly attracted by the politics i will admit, but as someone who follows a football team week in week out, i am interested to know about more than just the politics, i would like to keep an eye on the results and the league tables etc.

I don't see what more you want than what the uk fans forum you linked to gives you?

Well it is just a forum, i was after a website in english that gave more details than that.

Thankfully they are more helpful on that site and i have got some links from them now. It is still only basic stuff, but it is a start.

If you are just interested in the results and the league tables, the English pages of the official Bundesliga site may help

http://www.bundesliga.de/en/liga2/clubs/fc-st-pauli/index.php

but I would expect that the club's homepage is more informative, even if it is in German. The official website has a forum, where one of them is for fans around the world, and I would suggest that you may be better asking there for any English language websites.

Why would you bother to help someone who doesn't really sound interested in the team

Surely starting a thread dedicated to finding out more about the team demonstrates an interest.

Why wouldn't you want to assist someone when they ask for help?!!

Thank you very much. Hard work, but we got there in the end. That looks like the most useful site i have seen so far.

Not a football fan but have been on trains on different occasions full of both St Pauli and HSV fans in the case of St Pauli it usually means a noisy party atmosphere with loads of beer getting passed around, with HSV its keep looking at the floor, no eye contact worrying all the time that somethings going to spark it off, also on one occasion had a little African lass (about 12 at a guess) come and sit next to me because she was getting severe hassle. So as a non-fan its St Pauli every time oh and my kids live with the ex in Altona so of course my son is a fan, well he has to be doesnt he?

There was a pretty well maintained UK St Pauli website up until a couple of years ago, I used to visit it a lot and it had all the results, stats and general football info (which can be hard to find) along with a lot of information about what cool stuff was going on on the terraces. Sadly , I heard that the guy who ran the site (a Norwich fan) had died suddenly. Anyways there are quit a few of the "crusties" that were berated earlier in this thread who make a fair few trips over to the Millerntor from the London punk scene, it really is an excellent weekend away.

yep. so why the intrest in st pauli?

shit team in a shit league with brillient marketing that lots of poeple who know nothing about football like, cos of thier politics.

Didn't know that Jon Gaunt posted on here.......sorry to hear of your sacking "big boy".

Well I am a simpleton. To like football and show and interest in St Pauli because of their politics whatever next. I'm glad I know now that's not allowed. Fucks sake
