I would dearly love West ham to go into administration, take the points deduction ,get sold to some Arab and still stay up, just to spite those winging Yorkshire wankers who would have to go swivel for their £30 fucking million.

It would even be worth a season in the championship to stick it right up their arses!!:D

Ah as major creditors the receivers would have to give us a large chunk of the assets. How'd you fancy playing in the Kevin McCabe stadium?! :D

Someone wrote this load of Hotspur on wiki:

Mr. Gudmudsson has been today (8/10/08) during the lunchtime in talks to sell the club with secret Russian consortium. Mr. Kovalchuk (head of consortium) is willing to buy the club with all its depth and offered staggering £280 mil. in cash. More to be announced tomorrow (09/10/08).

wow. £280 million in cash. That's a lot of cash.

Still, as long as he's buying the depth.

I can't work out why Sleater thinks Newcastle are a more attractive proposition than West Ham.

West Ham - great academy, London club, huge potential fanbase which has never at all been properly exploited, and a mere 150m possible price tag (only working out at 50m even if we take the highest possible 'compensation' figure into account).

Newcastle - well there's a 350m price tag just to start with.

Newcastle can fill a bigger stadium.

yeah but we might move to stratford

(I assume you're not talking about stratford-upon-avon) What difference does it make if they move to a different part in london? :p

The thing is there's a surplus of teams in london whereas up the NE newcastle are the only decent team so in the future they wont have a problem filling say a 60-80K seater stadium whereas west ham definitely would in their current position.

You don't actually think anyone in London supports West Ham do you?

West Ham supporters all come from Essex...well known fact

It's true that we do have a lot of fans in Essex - a large proportion of them being original eastenders who moved out of London...

But heck I'm from 'ackney which isn't even really core Hammers territory and still meet quite a lot...

I'm from Ilford, East london Borough, West Essex postcode. I was one of two Hammers in my year at school, everyone else supported Arsenal, except for a couple of Spuds.

Yea but all the true supporters from East London can't afford to go any more meaning the stadium is full of "Green Street Elite" cockney wannabes from the Essex suburbs all wearing their Halley Hansen coats and Henrey Lloyd shirts. Shame really

I just take issue with the 'wannabes' bit. Generally they are actual cockneys who moved out. Nouveau riche, I'll grant you...

cyberrose i scottish renegade you can't expect him to know geography.

I know what posh southern student twats sound like as they're sat on the bus in Leeds discussing whether it's "chav" or "chava" or letting the whole bus know that if their parents buy them anything less than a car for their birthday they'll be pretty pissed off!

I'm actually pretty good with places, and there was/is a slight possibility I may move to London for a job so altho I've only been a few times for a look around, I've scouted the place out loads on the interweb and know loads of places in the burbs and more importantly, which places are shitholes which are: various places dotted around the north, west and south west, and then the entire east and south east of London, which would explain why all West Ham's fans that are rich enough to actually go to the matches fucked off and moved en masse to Essex :D

Hmm. I actually agree that a lot of East London is pretty bad.

SE London can be nice though especially Crystal Palace etc.
Well I have a friend who I think lives in Shoreditch which is about the only place I could find in the East that wasn't a shithole, then I discovered it was full of the type of cunt I fucking hate having the misfortune of bumping into in Leeds. In fact, my mate went to Leeds Uni. I reckon there must be some kind of path that cunts take where they go do an arts degree or some other bullshit cunt course up in Leeds then go an live in Shoreditch?

my family moved from canning town to harlow in essex because there wasn't a great deal of east london to live in at that time. just wish they hadn't chosen harlow.
