Spurs - Weedy Pointless Sell Outs

spurs have a half decent side problem is that most spurs fans think that half decent meansd that they will win the fa cup be in europe next year then win the uefa then sign ronhildino, beckham, shevchenko and the next pele/maradonna.

spurs should really work out there place and then it would be all good.

Unfortunately though they are far to easy to take the piss out of.

still got some danm good players and looks like you will have a load of good youngseter is lennon, huddlestone and routlege next year and who knows maybe someone you have actully brought through your selves.

To be honest Kained most of the Spurs sided posters on here have expressed honest but perhaps optimistic opinions for next season, its quite realistic that we might get into the UEFA IMO. No one has mentioned signing any superstars other than the bollocks close season press, we might not win the league or FA but UEFA we might just get to.

we have got some good youngsters which is great, just need to see how they perfom together now, for many of them its threre second season so it bodes well. We have also bought a fair few through our system, I think Kelly, Ilfill, Marney, Barnard and Yeates are now first team squad players from the youth system (I might be mistaken but im pretty sure they all are)

Looking forward to next season (nothing new there other than now again I am even more optimistic than I was last season, before then it was a bit gloomy for a good while!!)

Yep, they are. Spurs' Acacamy seems to turn out about one Prem standard player each year on average . . . Carr, Campbell, Clemence, Luke Young, and Ledley King being recent examples.

Of those you mention, I do think Ifil, Marney and Yeates are of that potential standard, but you never really know until they're playing in the Prem regularly c.f. Johnnie Jackson.

But I agree, in combo with all the yoof we've brought in, it is interesting times at the Lane.

Arnesen's comment this week that top players wouldn't come to Spurs once again brought up the horrible existence of the "Champions" League. Apparently top players won't look twice at teams not in it because there are so many teams who are in it. It really needs to go back to the great competition it once was with just champions because it is creating this inpenetrable hierarchy which is massively bad for the game.

Having said all that I read this morning (source was a tabloid so it might be bollocks) that we were looking at Real Madrid's Guti for £5. Could he be the attack-minded partner Carrick needs?

Ah, but that quote was fabricated and the journo got a grilling about it.... and remember....

wierd though how Spurs get tarred with this "almost signed" stigma when its the papers that spout this shit out which none of us believe anyway.

Pleanty of other teams are affected by the same shitty rumours but dont seem to get the stigma!!

Not that I give much of a fuck, its just something I've noticed.

I like the fact that other supporters and the papaer seem to hate Spurs, its quite enjoyable

Quotes such as that may well be fabricated but I still believe there is this strange idea that the "Champions" League is somehow way beyond any other competition in terms of importance for players, almost as if the league and cup are inconvinient afterthoughts.

I never understand why we Spurs are up there with ManUre, the Arse and Chelski in terms of hatred from other fans. We haven't been very successful in the last 15 years or so and I don't think we've partaken too much in the tapping up and mind games of Fergie and Arsehole Wanker too much. Why is it we're hated more than other big clubs like, say, Villa or Everton?

Opion 1: They're all just frightened of us, the mighty Lilley white army!!

Option 2: Everyone else is a secret ARSEhole fan

Option 3: The press hate us so the morons who read it hate us too

Option 4: who the fuck knows, who the fuck cares

NOT ME
