Spurs 2005-6 thread: The Road to Europe !

My point about the remnants of the European Cup go beyond the inclusion of what are essentially losers. By giving so much money to these few clubs they allow them to maintain the relative lack of competitiveness in their domestic leagues. It has to be remembered that European football is merely a bonus to domestic competition and cannot be allowed to superseed it as that would be highly damaging to the grassroots game which provides the foundations of this sport.

Yep!!!!!!

Hope you enjoyed yourself, 'cos you've got nothing else to celebrate. :D

Unlike some other teams, at least Arsenal can look forward to playing in the Champions League next season. :p :D

FFS you'll get me a bad name!! :D

I had to have 5 showers last night to get that dirty feeling off. It was like supporting a team you don't like, with the added bonus of finding it funny when they lost :D

I thought it was admirable, I doubt I could have done it if Forest were playing in similar circumstances (thankfully I'll never have to find that out).

My post was really just for one particular gooner who posts here...

I was fairly neutral in all honesty, Mrs Chieftains a Gooner so I watched it with her, oh'ed and ah'ed in the right places, enjoyed the game and went to bed feeling pretty indifferent about both the winning and losing sides.

Saying that I have a few choice comments reserved for two specific Gooners I'm looking forward to going to the pub with and who in all fairness fully deserve the "Bantering" they're going to get from myself and Jason the Hammer!

Tbh, I'd just about be able to be similarly neutral if it'd been Spurs playing last night. (-Not that it was, of course. :p ;) ).

I'd be happy to see just about any* English team winning in Europe. (-Yes, even... -and I'm having a hard time admitting it... Spurs. :o :D ).

*(-Except Man Ure. I just can't bring myself to sink that low. ;) )
