we a TLM103 and run the vox thru a line 6 echoboy which has just the right amount of drive to dirty things up without losing the vocal. That gives that BBoys agressive nasty vox sounds.
Somtimes just use a standard SM58. Had some great takes with that.

I record on a digital desk and have midi hardware but I won't let actual computers near my music. Leave all that shit to howard jones.

I too use a digital desk. Can be used as a standalone, or connected to a computer through a firewire cable. It's ace when connected to a computer. Plug in my guitar and record. Add effects with software, mixdown and burn to CD. What could be more simple and efficient to produce guitar based rock.
