MPs don't really give a shit who abstains, as long as they get the largest minority of the vote.

Voting and campaigning for abstension are both expressions of total political impotence.

Disagree and frankly there as been a poor show of ideas in this thread to be honest.
The deed itself isnt a big deal, there are other repurcussions which we can play on, namely that we can use it to launch a wider political platform. Its not right that an event such as elections should not be contested on a political level by anarchists. We can present clearly what it is we find wrong about the electoral system and argue point for point against the proposals of the warring political groups. Its not under normal circumstances we get an oppurtunity to express fully what our ideas are like on various subjects that impact on people lives; think crime, housing, policing, social services etc. We normally only address those points as a reaction, in an election we can actively be proactive.

Also this says nothing of the fact that we can sow discontent, by arguing premptively against whateverr neo-liberal consensus is being forced us.
