'Pocket Full Of Kryptonite'?

Is that the one that goes "I've got a pocket full of Kryptonite? I've got a pocket full of Kryptonite?"

Well, I don't think I can handle this
A cloudy day in Metropolis
I think I'll talk to my analyst
I got it so bad for this little journalist

It drives me up the wall and through the roof
Lois and Clark in a telephone booth
I think I'm going out of my brain
I got it so bad for little miss Lois Lane

(Chrous)
Lois Lane please put me in your plan
Yeah, Lois Lane you don't need no Super Man
Come on downtown and stay with me tonight
I got a pocket full of kryptonite, I
I got a pocket full of kryptonite, I
I got a pocket full of kryptonite

He's leaping buildings in a single bound
I'm reading Shakespeare at my place downtown
Come on downtown and make love to me
I'm Jimmy Olsen not a titan, you see

He's faster than a bullet, stronger than a train
He's the one who got lucky, got his cape around miss Lois Lane
I can't believe my dilemma is real
I'm competing with the man of steel

(Chorus)

It's great! Fairly witty, and whoever it is is good at text-setting too.

Hmmm, perhaps you're right... perhaps it is an interesting, sensitive piece of quality songwriting, and not a 12 year old's school poetry homework...

Nah.

:p

Perhaps. Ah well, I'm sure there'll be something po-faced and foot-starey to listen to along soon. Like, er, most of it!

Ah.

I'd conflated the two aswell.

Doesn't he go "Little miss, little miss, little miss Lois Lane" over and over and over?

I'm actually irritated at my desk now :(

Have you heard the rest of the album? There are drum and bass solos. And one of the tracks is 14 minutes long.

lol. they were shit weren't they... though i misguidedly bought both 'pocket full of kryptonite' and 'homebelly groove... live!' at the time. :o

they came from the same strange alternate universe as stereophonics, where hard work somehow results in commercial success...

Maybe that's why I like them - 'cos I never bought any! :D

They were just on the music telly in NZ a lot, and they kind of went with surfing and a generally care-free existence. I guess if you grow up somewhere grim then you have more time for songs that sound like 45's played at 33rpm.

:p

It's the necessary price to pay so that when you leave your country you don't do the social equivalent of this thread

Ha! I'm clearly never gonna convince you guys. Anyway, I think my Spin Doctors revival phase is over - listening to Nirvana today.

Some kind fo musical regress is in process

That last Toploader album was a lost classic. The choons were easily the match of 'Dancing In the Moonlight' or anything on 'Onka's Big Moka'.
