It's all good, man
Fuck off you dick. You sad bastard.

I'm not the one who spent the afternoon calling twelve mates to ask them if they knew what a dual carriageway was.Fuck off you dick.
Too busy interfering with animals?I'm not the one who spent the afternoon calling twelve mates to ask them if they knew what a dual carriageway was.
So you have to wonder why it’s so active. Either Bath drivers are the biggest morons in the country or there’s something going on with that bit of road. The camera doesn’t look to be hidden so it suggests that motorists are passing it unaware of the limit, which points to bad signage. Then you have to ask why Avon and Somerset have four of the ten most active cameras in the country, three of which are on motorways. That's the one.
Edit. Lansdown Lane apparently.
This Bath road has the fourth most active speed camera in the UK...

Quite. Can anyone give an example of a “hidden” camera, one where the limit sign is obscured? It also shows how, when you hear drivers moaning about "hidden" speed limits and cameras, you can assume they are almost certainly talking a load of complete nonsense.
Fixed or mobile?Quite. Can anyone give an example of a “hidden” camera, one where the limit sign is obscured?
I've seen quite a few roadsigns (not cameras) where vegetation has grown across to cover most or all of the sign. There was a case a few years ago where someone successfully appealed his conviction, after he went back and photographed the signs obscured by leaves.Quite. No, not the camera. The limit sign. Because why would it matter to any law abiding motorist if the camera was hidden?Fixed or mobile?
Mobile ones are pretty much always concealed whereas most of the fixed ones have been culled.

Stick to the speed limit and it doesn't matter where the camera is.It's quite common, as is the sly sighting of cameras behind trees/signs etc. Unsurprising that cyclists are unaware of them though.
One that springs to mind immediately was on the Camden Road, but I believe this has recently been removed after a campaign ...

Surely if you want to slow traffic down you put the camera in front of the tree where it can be seen? If you want to catch people out and generate revenue, hide it behind.
Of course. I was responding to teuchter who doesn't seem to believe hidden cameras exist. It is also the case that signage is also often obscured/absent though I've no idea why that Bath camera is catching so many people.Stick to the speed limit and it doesn't matter where the camera is.
I don't see anyone moaning about them. Most just seem to hold their hands up. Personally I try to be meticulous in knowing what the limits and road set-ups that I drive on are so when I do speed on them I don't get caught. That's doubly important when you're pissed half the time.Nah, I didn't say that hidden cameras didn't exist. I said that when you hear drivers moaning about them, they are almost certainly talking a load of rubbish. As has been demonstrated on this very thread, including Spymaster's post above.

My German tickets each come with a frontal photo, always a bit embarrassing if the bong is visible...

Ah, if only you'd been using a left-hand drive car you could have done what that cheeky British driver was doing a few years ago and tease the German authorities by placing a muppet in the left-side seat...
