Spank me, Baby! - 'Family Values' republican on an open mic

I really can't believe it goes on. I wish there was something I could do about it.

The only thing you can do about it is visit some really crazy forums like frerepublic or americanconservatives and troll the motherfuckers ;)

Head right in there with the "danm commie" shit, get welcomed by a few long standing posters, do a bit of research on which republicans are crazier than most and spout some of their shit, and then start dropping little bombs that get the wingnuts fighting against each other ;) ;) ;)

At the moment they are going mental!! Lots of fun is to be had :D

I'm not sure that the only alternative to hypocrisy is libertinism. [And Roadkill's comment to the same effect.]
Exaggeration for effect. The alternatives seem to be based around "harm prevention", which is pretty amoral. If it's not do-as-you-please, it at least fails to condemn it.
Besides, it's always nice to see self-righteous, moralising hypocrites get their comeuppance.
Agreed. My problem is when their failings are used to criticise the beliefs they (possibly claim to) hold.

It doesn't help when they claim to be better than other people. Anyone who roots their "family values" line in Christianity knows that we're all fallible creatures, and don't claim special goodness.
Dude. He didn't "fall short". You can only "fall short" if you made a good faith effort to meet them. He very arrogantly applied his "standards" to everyone except himself.

There is very much room for middle ground here. You can and should expect an honest vote on the issues. You can also promote a more balanced and honest view of sexuality.
Do we know for sure if he was a fraud? It seems hard to. If he was, it's really beside the point I've made above.

What'd you mean by a balanced and honest view on sexuality? If you mean less tub-thumping then I agree. But Christians are tied by certain absolute laws, however much they dislike them. More understanding of everyone who breaks them, yes. It's honest to admit we all fall short.
