South Park on its day is BY FAR the funniest programme ever made

Watched Awesome-O the other day, forgot how brilliant that ep was (especially Butter's revenge at the end) :D

"Are you also programmed for pleasure Awesome-O?"
"What?.....Lame....Not Cool"

I've never been crazy about South Park and never found its grandstanding outrageousness that funny. There is the occasional gag that makes me laugh, but on the whole I find the humour adolescent and the show rather one-note. The Simpsons and Futurma are emotionally more varied shows and they contrast black comedy and satire with a warmth and humanism that I can relate to more. At least I don't loathe South Park the way I loathe Family Guy which should never be mentioned in the same sentence as The Simpsons. It's one of those cultural touch stones where I genuinely think less of someone if they tell me they love that show.

i don't know, i'm rewatching family guy and although it has it's faults there are well written/performed sections most notably dialogue between stewie and brian who are by far and away the characters with the most depth and development and the ones who suffer the least from the manatee balls

Didn't really like the Jersey one but everyone seems to!

I don't like it when they do takes on shows that seem to be really popular in america but not here...shows I haven't watched basically. Like the intervention one, didn't get it. Although I did catch a bit of Jersey housewives the other day on Viva and it is very like that! Also when they do TV shows like that they don't have to do much because the shows are pretty much parodies of themselves already.

Haha proper lol :D

South Park still rocks it. Al-q saving the day

Love family guy still, but it's going to be strange after the mass murder spree!

Oh well, here we go...

I love Family Guy. Family Guy is what South Park could be if South Park wasn't written by Beavis and Butthead. The Simpsons is also better than South Park, as is King of the Hill.

i never took any notice of it back then so i am catching up now, it's one of the things the bairn loves too , funny as fuck, demented genius. Dunno if it quite matches Family Guy but not far off anyway

Family guy is utterly boring shit.

It is one of BBC Three biggest shows despite the very late time slot - indeed it made the top ten of most watched multichannel shows of the year at 11:30pm on a Sunday night.

But I can take it or leave it.

Though I think you really need to be American to get American Dad which BBC Three is showing with gay abandon lately.

I just never laugh during it and pretty much given up with it( i now fully expect people like JC to get all defensive, oh wait, he already has!). Maybe if they actually came up with something funny from time to time i might not think that way. But its all just so lame.

ok i wrote out a long pice describe all the shows and why they all have a certain something that makes them special and about how we shouldn't argue but then i realised that was gay

they do some good stuff admittedly the really good stuff is often lost under the hailstorm of mediocre jokes but when it is good it can be really rather good my main problem with it is that the characters are amazingly two dimensional 95% of the time they have one joke and they just flog it like dead horses were going out of fashion, for me the best humour is when they break away from their normal roles, like when quagmire tell brian why he hates him

It is funny, but the humors been done to death now...... I think they should give up and do something else.
