i'd like to start the ball rolling with these two:

It's 5! - Architechture in Helsinki
Rec & Play - I'm From Barcelona

i'm a real sucker for a bit of harmless Indie Pop when it comes to summery feelgoodness :)

Heaps, but anyway:

Madonna - Holiday
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Kelly Clarkson - Miss Independent
Boz Scaggs - Lido Shuffle
Chicago - Saturday in the Park
David Bowie - Rebel Rebel
Dr. Hook - Walk Right In

And there's more of course :)

erm, Playing with knives, by bizzare inc
oh and the bannana splits theme tune allways gets me groovin' like a pancake, and popping like a cork

Some of these are just all-out happy from the first note onwards. A lot of them though, are songs where the happiness isn't initially there but, somewhere between the start and the end, it kind of sneaks up on me in a fucking wonderful way... :)

The Edwin Hawkins Singers ~ Oh Happy Day!
Black Flag ~ My War
Super Furry Animals ~ Hello Sunshine
Super Furry Animals ~ Dacw Hi
Plush ~ Three Quarters Blind
Stevie Wonder ~ Uptight (Everything's Alright)
Bjork ~ All Is Full Of Love
Panda Bear ~ Bros
The Zombies ~ Care Of Cell 44
The Kinks ~ Big Sky
Sly & The Family Stone ~ Sing A Simple Song / Remember Who You Are
Beechwood Sparks ~ Confusion Is Nothing New
Teenage Fanclub ~ My Uptight Life
Flaming Lips ~ Do You Realize??
Frank Wilson ~ Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)
The Supremes ~ Stoned Love
Lambchop ~ Up With People
The Avalanches ~ Since I Left You
ELO ~ Livin' Thing
Smog ~ Truth Serum
Smog ~ I Feel Like The Mother Of The World
Charles Wright ~ I Got Love
Basil Kirchin ~ E & Me
Buffalo Springfield ~ On The Way Home
Funkadelic ~ Biological Speculation
Olivia Tremor Control ~ It's A New Day
The Millennium ~ It's You
Camper Van Beethoven ~ Take The Skinheads Bowling
Whigfield ~ Saturday Night
Velvet Underground ~ What Goes On
The Modern Lovers ~ Roadrunner
Regina Spektor ~ Hotel Song
Caetano Veloso ~ Alfômega
Prince ~ Let's Go Crazy

Well, they all work for me anyway...

Most of the songs from Blink182s 'enema of the state'.

Which is odd, as i imagine it would probably piss most people off to no end.

have you heard his new record? its a BIT special. too short though for my liking

Yeah, been crazy about it all year. Psychedelic sample reverb-drenched joy: I love it. :)

Lilizela Mlilizeli by Mahlathini and the Mahotella Queens.

This would be the record I'd chose on Desert Island Disks if I could only have one of my choices - always makes me feel happy and start dancing!

snuff arse hole, (spunge) my ego and almost anything ska punk will put a smile on face very very quickly. Also terrorvisions joesophenie is a smiley track for me.

Theres many many mnay more but ska punk is the way foward for smiles.

Jackie Wilson - I Get The Sweetest Feeling

Beat that :)

What about 'your love has lifted me higher and higher' by otis reading...'up' in a sort of breakbeat gospel way
