Songs that make you feel sentimental?

. (Ths is Ronnie doing it live, though I actually prefer the Faces' studio version).

- Neil Young.

- Willie Nelson.

I've been looking for a good version of Fear a'Bhata, which is what I sing when I'm drunk and maudlin, but can only find the shite MOR plod of Capercaillie.

Fly Me to the Moon - the last song my Grandad sang, in the gardens at the hospice, a couple of days before he died; I have a picture of him mid-song. He loved singing, so that reminds me of him in a good way.

Hey Ya - so much fun in 2004. Playing the first night I got to know my GF.

These Boots Are Made For Walking - my karaoke song (because it's easy).

There are a few that make me instantly blub, too, or close to it at least.

Nick Drake - River man

Heard it for the first time last week and made me cry like a baby. It's been a very long time since a piece of music did that to me....

I once had some Enya on while I washed up, only to turn round and see my eighteen-month-old daughter sitting bolt upright in her high chair, tears streaming down her face. I thought something terrible had happened, but no, it was just that 'the music's too sad, Mummy.'

My dentist had Enya on while he did (quite painful) surgery on my teeth a couple of years ago...i've never been able to listen to her since:)
