Songs that creep you out

hm.

well, it's good - if only to hear billie ray martin singing 'i've got a biscuit tin, to keep your panties in' with the same mouth that sang 'your loving arms'. but the TG version is far more sinister...

not really creepy but urgh that song, wives and lovers makes my skin crawl. its possibly the most repulsive song i've ever heard.

grotesque lyrics:
Hey, little girl,
Comb your hair, fix your make-up.
Soon he will open the door.
Dont think because
Theres a ring on your finger,
You neednt try any more

For wives should always be lovers, too.
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you.
Im warning you.

Day after day,
There are girls at the office,
And men will always be men.
Dont send him off
With your hair still in curlers.
You may not see him again.

For wives should always be lovers, too.
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you.
Hes almost here.

Hey, little girl
Better wear something pretty,
Something youd wear to go to the city.
And dim all the lights,
Pour the wine, start the music.
Time to get ready for love.

Oh, time to get ready,
Time to get ready,
Time to get ready
For love.

I can make you mine, taste your lips of wine
Anytime night or day
Only trouble is, gee whiz
I'm dreamin' my life away

I need you so that I could die
I love you so and that is why
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream

FADE
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream

*shudders

Tonight's the night I've waited for
Because you're not a baby anymore
You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen
Happy birthday sweet sixteen
What happened to that funny face
My little tomboy now wears satin and lace
I can't believe my eyes you're just a teenage dream
Happy birthday sweet sixteen
When you were only six I was your big brother
Then when you were ten We didn't like each other
When you were thirteen You were my funny valentine
But since you've grown up Your future is sewn up
From now on you're gonna be mine.

'Strange Fruit' - Billie Holiday: especially the video and morbid lyrics :(
'Lullaby' - The Cure
'Jeepers Creepers' - Jazz Standard sung by a woman I have no idea who but I have the song on a jazz comp somewhere. *shudder*
And 'Do you Believe in Life After Love' - Cher :(

All for totally different reasons but all produce a cold shiver down the spine.

'Lullaby' - The Cure

Awhh that's one of my favourite 'floating away from life itself' songs.

Kate Bush's voice creeps me out and has done since I was a child. Strangely enough I can do a bloody good impression of it. :D

"Okay, this is for all the little girls in the audience, including you. Goes like this."

A one, two, one, two, three!

YOU COME ON LIKE A DREAM, PEACHES AND CREAM,
LIPS LIKE STRAWBERRY WINE.
YOU'RE SIXTEEN, SO BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE. (mine, all mine, all mine)

YOU'RE ALL RIBBONS AND CURLS, OOH, WHAT A GIRL,
EYES THAT SPARKLE AND SHINE.
YOU'RE SIXTEEN, SO BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE. (mine, all mine, all mine)

YOU'RE MY BABY, YOU'RE MY PET,
WE FELL IN LOVE ON THE NIGHT WE MET.
YOU TOUCHED MY HAND, MY HEART WENT POP,
OOH, WHEN WE KISSED, I COULD NOT STOP.

YOU WALKED OUT OF MY DREAMS AND INTO MY ARMS,
NOW YOU'RE MY ANGEL DIVINE.
YOU'RE SIXTEEN, SO BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE. (mine, all mine, all mine)

"Ah, play it for me!"

"Oh, play that thing, Randy!"

"Saxophone!"

YOU'RE MY BABY, YOU'RE MY PET,
WE FELL IN LOVE ON THE NIGHT WE MET.
YOU TOUCHED MY HAND, MY HEART WENT POP,
OOH, WHEN WE KISSED, I COULD NOT STOP.

YOU WALKED OUT OF MY DREAMS AND INTO MY CAR,
NOW YOU'RE MY ANGEL DIVINE.
YOU'RE SIXTEEN, SO BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE. (mine, all mine, all mine)

YOU'RE SIXTEEN, SO BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE. (mine, all mine, all mine)

YOU'RE SIXTEEN, YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU'RE MINE.

Oh Ringo...

'Strange Fruit' - Billie Holiday.

^^^this.

I see in my head that photograph of the 2 guys hanging from the tree everytime I hear this.:(

Southern trees bear strange fruit,
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root,
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze,
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.

Pastoral scene of the gallant south,
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth,
Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh,
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh.

Here is fruit for the crows to pluck,
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck,
For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop,
Here is a strange and bitter crop.
