Songs about radio

The Hooters - 'Give The Music Back' includes a verse referencing Radio Caroline:

Can you feel it...
And now a silence fills the rooms where once we sang
And all is quiet where once the chimes of freedom rang
Somewhere a pirate ship is crashing through the waves
Sending a signal out, a ballad to the brave.

This is a 'mashed-up' version including images from & a couple of brief on-air announcements made whilst armed Dutch authorities boarded the ship in 1989, pistol whipping their engineer, before basically destroying the studios & transmitters, removing everything connected to the three stations broadcasting from the ship, including the complete record library - the cunts.

yardbird - Pilot of the Airwaves is a real Caroline classic, Charlie Dore performed it live back in August at the Caroline bash to commemorate 50 years since the Marine Broadcasting Offences Act 1967 was passed, which was supposed to finished them off, and failed, they are still going, although are legal & on land now.

EDIT - may as well plonk this here, bit cheesy, but a bit of fun - Radio NorthSea International's reaction to them being jammed by the Wilson government, authorized by John Stonehouse*, who was Postmaster General.

* That's the cunt that faked his own death and got sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud.
