There's a brand new one opening in Shepherd's Bush any time now.

Some of the others have been incredibly badly handled though.

In the interests of research, I just tried out Camberwell's pool this afternoon. It was practically empty (at 4pm), but this may be due to the changing rooms which seem to be sub-zero degrees.. The wall at the shallow end is also a bit alarming at first and looks like it's covered with barnacles... but it's just that it's made of perforated metal and is extremely rusty.

Went this morning, it's great - like I remember the swimming baths when I was little. Was dead quiet compared to E.Dulwich, and quicker to get to work, so even though the changing rooms are bloody freezing, and the showers are a bit 'social' for my liking... reckon might go there during the week

There's usually a political furore going on about the place as to whether they are going to renovate it or not. The rust sounds icky.....

Given the debacle with the pool in Hackney that is still shut, the one at the Elephant that was/is fucked, the one in Croydon that cost millions and had to be demolished, is it possible that we are being screwed? The Victorians knew how to build a fucking pool.

just peering through the Camden New Journal today, it looks that it's more problems for the local pool over there. so, maybe we are being screwed.

The one in Hackney did not even have fucking pool liner! they filled it up and glug glug glug all the place got flooded and the electrics went zap!
