I didn't like mercy at first, but listening to it on the computer, you get used to it. It's quite funky.

That song (Mercy) sounds OK, though the 'yeah, yeah, yeah' bit's very Amy Winehouse and the whole thing's a bit repetetive. I like her voice, mind - doesn't sound helium-filled at all to me. I'll see if I can listen to her other song, if you guys say it's better.
That video is definitely one of the worst I've ever seen. Sure, she's a lovely looking woman, pretty enough to make a bit of dull camera work bearable, but why surround her with dancers who look like ugly bank clerks wearing their best casual clothes? Until the last few seconds, nothing but dancing happens, and it's not terribly interesting dancing with no choreography apparent at all.

to be honest, the only time aguilera ever really gets a mention round here is when people say how how much they like "candyman" or "ain't no other man" <shrugs>. and madonna seems to get just as many people who like her as dislike her.
